Terms and Conditions
We have tried to keep our terms and conditions as simple and straightforward as possible, but if there are any points that need further clarification, you should contact us to request more information.
In booking us for a home or business removal job, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.
Jewellery and Small Valuables
We require that you do not pack such items within larger packaging boxes, but transport them personally and outside the scope of any removal job that we are undertaking for you.
Inventory List
We require that you provide us with an inventory list that includes everything that is to be moved. We also require that you provide us with an overall valuation of all the items that are to be included in the removal job. This is required for our insurance purposes.
We also require that you identify and provide individual valuations for any single items with an individual value greater than £1,000.
Insurance & Variations
All of your belongings and equipment will be covered by our insurers, but only provided that the items are included in the inventory list and the valuations provided are accurate. Depending upon the level of insurance required to effectively cover your move, there may be additional charges.
Items to Remain
If any items are to be left behind at the original home (or premises), we require that you (or a member of your staff) is on hand to supervise our removal team and ensure that nothing that is to be left is inadvertently moved. If not, we will require you to clearly label every item or container or box that is to be left behind.
Proper Packaging
It is essential that all breakable items are adequately packed to survive manual handling and the journey to be undertaken. All breakable items must be contained within adequate packaging boxes and labelled as ‘Fragile’.
The customer is responsible for the secure packing of all fragile items. Our responsibility lies solely in the transportation of the items.
It is essential that all smaller items are packed in proper ‘packaging boxes’ and not simple ‘storage boxes’. Storage boxes are usually single-walled cardboard and are not designed to be moved with their contents. Packaging boxes are usually double- or triple-walled cardboard and are designed to be moved with their contents, provided that the boxes are properly assembled and properly sealed with packaging tape not narrower than 50mm.
Note that we may refuse to transport any item or package where we believe the item may become unsafe, or the packaging is inadequate or has become compromised.
Deposits and Cancellations
We will always require a deposit to confirm your booking. Your deposit will be refunded if you need to cancel your job and provide us with at least fourteen days' notice of cancellation. We cannot refund your deposit if you cancel your job less than 14 days prior to the agreed date.
Rescheduling
If you need to reschedule your job within 14 days of the agreed date, your deposit will be held as a deposit for the same job on the new date. However, we reserve the right to add a reasonable fee to cover our administrative costs incurred by the rescheduling of vehicles and staff.
Payment
Payment must be made immediately on completion of the job, unless explicitly agreed otherwise prior to booking. Payment must be made by bank transfer.
Customer Involvement
Customers are welcome to help with their removal in an advisory role. However, where a customer becomes involved in manual handling, they do so entirely at their own risk. We cannot accept responsibility for injuries or damage to items or fixtures in such a scenario.
Travelling Time
We will always provide an estimate of our journey times, but we cannot guarantee journey times that may vary due to traffic variations, roadworks and accident hold-ups.
Entry Delays
It is up to you to ensure that we have immediate entry to the destination home or premises. We reserve the right to charge additional costs for holdups due to access problems such as unavailable keys or blocked doors, damaged pathways or similar obstacles.
